The Hungarian National Wine Contest was held for the 41st time, after a two-year gap.
In 2022, 824 wines of 232 winery – including five wines from Pajzos Tokaj – were judged in a strong competition before a panel of professional judges.
We are very proud that our winery were awarded with three Grand Gold and two Gold medal. We are particularly pleased that all of our currently available Aszú got Grand Gold medal (5 puttonyos Traditional Aszú 2016, 6 puttonyos Legend Aszú 2016 and 6 puttonyos Legend Aszú 2017). Our two, iconic dry wines, the T-furmint 2021 and the Furmint Selection 2019 got the gold medals.
Our winery got more recognition in the offical awarded ceremony, which was held in 31 August 2022 in Budapest. In first hand our Furmint Selection 2019 wine be the „Best aged dry white wine made of Carpathian varieties”, and on the other hand the Pajzos Tokaj be „The most successful winery of the year”!
István Nagy, Minister of Agriculture and Ottó Légli, President of the National Council of Wine Communities (NCWC) gave the traveling trophy for this nominations to Laurent Comas Managing Director of Pajzos Tokaj.
