In 2022 we reached the turning point where we renewed Pajzos Tokaj brand established nearly 30 years ago. The modernised logo and label family reflect the priority we at the winery assign to following tradition together with the importance of renewing.
Until 2021 we had two brands on the domestic (Hungarian) wine market: premium quality wines were marketed as Pajzos Tokaj and value-for-money wines as Megyer Tokaj. In 2021 we merged the two brands, so now the Pajzos Tokaj is the only brand in the Hungarian market.
Our winery makes around 300 000 bottles of wine annually: one third is our estate wine, T-Furmint. We also sell about 300 000 bottles a year, of which 70 % is sold internationally. Part of our significant export is through our France affiliate, Château Clinet; the other part is directly from us. Our main partner countries are the UK, the USA, Canada, the Republic of Ireland and Sweden.
In Hungary retail partners include Auchan Magyarország, Tesco and Aldi; our largest wholesale partner is Veritas Borkereskedés. Our wines are available in many wine shops (Pannon Borbolt, Borfalu Bortéka, Therápia Borkereskedés), restaurants (VakVarjú, Platán Restaurant, Rosenstein) and wine bars (Galéria12, Kóstolom and Szalonspicc wine bars).
