Fresh green herbs dominate the nose followed by tobacco and chocolate flavours typical of mature Aszú mixing with the luscious peach flavours of the Pajzos vineyard. Tight acid structure make this beautiful mature Aszú rounded and dynamic.
Harvest we harvested the aszú berries from the end of October – till the end of November
Fermentation and aging in 220 L Szerednyei oak barrels from the Zemplén hills for 3 years, in the bottle for 1 year

1997 The cool weather and late ripening gave small quantities of beautifully structured Aszú wine this vintage of which this 6 puttonyos is a lovely example.

An excellent choice for chocolate desserts, chocolate mousse, mascarpone peach cream or blue cheese. But also lovely on its own or with a cigar.
